I hope this snowballs into Regime Change

November 30th, 2003

And yeah, I’m talking about the US regime. This article describes how the CIA pretty much did its job on Iraq: guessed that it had WMDs, but said that it wasn’t sure. This report was somehow used as proof to bolster the argument to go to war with Iraq. Even supposing it was true, how [...]

Link Sharing

OK, in the spirit of spreading the love, here’s a favorite site of mine: Giant Microbes. Get your favorite bacterial disease as a 1,000,000x scale plush toy. Order yours today! I can vouch for their coolness, I got the shigella/flu/cold/strep four-pack for the girls, and they rock. Very nifty. This is by way of thanking [...]

They’re home!

November 30th, 2003

Yatsze and the kids are home, I’m a happy guy. So happy, that I didn’t blog yesterday because we spent the whole day being goofy. Like we figured, their cousins were a great influence for them to be around, especially for Mona. Mona is talking a lot better, and a lot more clearly, after hanging [...]

Home again

November 28th, 2003

And jeez, that was a lot of driving. Boston to Baltimore Wednesday, back again Friday, but the Mini Cooper S made the whole thing more than just a little fun. Stopped off at Friend Steven’s house on the way back, which was a nice rest from the accellerator pedal, and had a great chat. And [...]

Todd is a now standard guy

November 27th, 2003

Now, anyway. I find myself in Baltimore, hosted by the incomparable Heather and her lame husband. We’re having a late Thanksgiving dinner later with some of their neighbors, and Heather is making the side dishes as we speak. Todd and I, meanwhile, have just arrived from a two-hour driving lesson where I taught him to [...]

I will have a food baby

November 27th, 2003

I. Am. So. Full. Turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, asparagus, corn pudding, string beans, brussels sprouts, beer, wine, cheese, pumpkin pie, apple pie, coffee. I can no longer bend at the waist.

November 26th, 2003

I hate going to bed substantially earlier than usual, because I always wake up in the middle of the night, as if I were just taking a nap, instead of trying to sleep a long, long time. Not only did I only get about four hours of sleep Monday night, but yesterday, I had lunch [...]

After a good sleep, things are better

November 26th, 2003

My stomach has stopped trying to kill me. I called in sick, because I got back to sleep at 6am, feeling lousy and generally needing rest. Slept til noon, and now I’m almost ready to go down to Baltimore. We’ll see how well I survive the drive. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

While I’m not the Blogger of Choice when it comes to the latest, greatest link to something cool or funny (usually because it’s already blogged to hell and back by the time I see it, or I just got it from a site I link to on the right anyway) I had to post a [...]

Ego surfing

November 25th, 2003

Here’s a nice bennie from running my own web server: I have logs that are easy to sift through, and I found to my surprise that there are external links to het3.com, from folks that aren’t my friends. Pretty specifically, links to my Monty Hall FAQ, on the famous Monty Hall problem. And I get [...]
