Back from E3

May 23rd, 2005

And all I can say is “I hate American Airlines, and I hate Boeing’s stupid S80 aircraft.” Goddamn, that thing is the worst. The 737, that’s a fine plane, I can ride in that plane. The S80, it’s murder. It’s incredibly cramped, and by cramped I mean that a Baka pygmy could not stretch out [...]

Fundies make me so very, very mad

May 16th, 2005

So I was driving home listening to On Point on WBUR, and it was about the first anniversary of the legalization of gay marriage in Massachusetts, which, in case you’re wondering where I stand on the issue, should be regarded as a great date in US history. And they had an anti-gay-marriage advocate on, and [...]

My M’s, my poor, poor M’s

May 10th, 2005

Lost 9 of the last 10 games. They have zero pitching, and the hitters have slumped badly, although there are some signs of life (weak as they are). Any team having to start Aaron Sele is a team in bad shape, and tonight showed that the M’s are in terrible, terrible shape. It’s just crazy [...]

They will not permit you to download patches without jumping through a pretty hefty registration process, and don’t even want to let you send them email feedback without providing your phone number. I just hate companies that collect all [...]

Iraq isn’t getting any better

May 1st, 2005

100 dead in the last 3 days in Iraq. Terrorist incidents around the globe are up three times what the were last year, yet Bush somehow still rates highly on his handling of terrorism. It stuns me that we put good men in harm’s way over lies, and they get killed, and we’re not angrier [...]

I’m back

May 1st, 2005

The blog has been down for most of the day as I’ve been upgrading my machine to Tiger. Tiger is a pretty swanky upgrade over Panther, and the features it has are such that I couldn’t really see myself getting by with running Tiger on my laptop and Panther on the desk. So, after the [...]
