More on Santorum

July 29th, 2005

So I think I can put it succinctly, what drives me nuts about Santorum and his ilk: he’s so slimy because he’ll claim to have no problem with homosexuals, yet he pushes his repressive agenda. But I say, “If I can’t distinguish your actions from the actions that someone who hates homosexuals would undertake, then [...]

I hate Rick Santorum

July 25th, 2005

Just saw the latest Daily Show on Comedy Central, and boy, Rick Santorum just makes your skin crawl. Jon Stewart was pointed but polite with questions, logical questions regarding Santorum’s homophobic views, and Santorum kept implying that homosexuals harm children. He’s such a pig. Stewart tried politely to confront him, but as per his policy [...]

Bad blogger

July 25th, 2005

That’s me. The last couple of weeks have been pretty crazy: moving into the new house, our vacation with my brother-in-law and his family, work. It has been extremely goofy round these parts. I’ll post more, I swear. Random thoughts of late: – The M’s are back to sucking. A nice sweep of the Angels [...]

My little poet

July 22nd, 2005

There was a brief thunderstorm tonight that woke Mona up. She stumbled out of the bedroom to find me, and tell me that the thunder scared her. M’s sweep the Angels in four

July 11th, 2005

I haven’t blogged about baseball in a while, because the 2005 M’s have been pretty terrible: a dozen or more games back in the standings, they have been in the cellar all year, and offensively best only Kansas City and Tampa Bay, who combined don’t come close to Seattle’s payroll. So it has been depressing; [...]

London Calling

July 7th, 2005

My heart bleeds for London today. London is and always will be my favorite city on this green globe, and to see such a jewel attacked in this way is just appalling. I worry what our reaction will be: I fear it will be neither constructive nor effective, but rather more indiscriminate rage against inappropriate [...]

WP upgrade

July 5th, 2005

So there’s a PHP vulnerability out there, and the latest WP upgrade supposedly fixes it. So I’m upgraded, and I hate to say it, but WP seriously needs an upgrade function. Right now, it operates on the “slash and burn” upgrade methodology: delete your old files, replace with the new, and run the upgrade.php file. [...]
