My first visit from “grandpa stole bets”

November 29th, 2005

My first comment spam in a long time, from a somewhat notorious comment spammer, “grandpa stole bets”. He posts the same racist, anti-semitic Islamist screed on blogs everywhere, and I just got mine. Or rather, had. It’s gone, now. Fuck off, grandpa.

Yeah, outdoor sports are so much more wholesome than video games

Want to know where high school bully jocks come from? They come from here.

I have sort of suspected this

November 27th, 2005

Allawi says Iraq is as bad as it ever was. I’ve often wondered about that: from the statistics I’ve seen, Saddam was responsible for N deaths every year, and N has been higher under US occupation. Makes you wonder how much good we’re actually doing.

More Iraq lying

November 26th, 2005

XBox360 impressions

November 26th, 2005

Just finished playing King Kong on the new XBox360. The 360 is a pretty powerful console, with lots of graphics horsepower that King Kong put to good use. There was a rock wall in a cave where they animated the UVs of the normalmap, to make it look like the wall was covered in a [...]

Yeah, it’s a police state. It’s official now.

They are lying liars

November 24th, 2005

This National Journal article is one of the most damning yet about Bush’s blatant lies that got us into the war with Iraq. The September 21st, 2001 PDB apparently quite explicitly said there was no link between Saddam and al Qaeda, that Saddam had regarded them as a threat to his own regime. I say [...]

Mini Cooper iPod connection review

November 22nd, 2005

I got the thing many months ago – almost a year ago I think – the cable connector to hook my iPod into my Mini. I was thrilled when I heard that Mini was coming out with an iPod connector, as using the iPod with the Mini was way too difficult: it doesn’t have a [...]

The Vice-President for Torture

November 18th, 2005

Oh, yeah, truth will out. It is just astonishing, the stones our administration has in saying it is against torture while fighting tooth and nail against outlawing torture. Fuck them.
