Obama vs Clinton

February 21st, 2008

I usually reserve political posts here for my own ranting, but this diary at Daily Kos was one I found enlightening. It definitely puts the whole “experience” issue in a new light, along with the “can get things done in Washington” canard.

Congratulations on your victory, sir

You know it, I’m talking about Dave Niehaus winning the Frick Award. Well-deserved. He’s a great, great baseball announcer, and I miss getting to hear him like I used to.

10.5 gripes

My daughter came home from school a little upset, a couple days ago. One of her friends in the neighborhood told her at school that she hurts God’s feelings by not going to church. You can’t know how much I think that sucks. Religion is, more than anything, a source of divisiveness in the world.

Wow, that was a freaky Superbowl

February 3rd, 2008

Low-scoring, and the Pats went down. The whole country was calling it for the Pats, and their perfect season is gone, poof. Who cares? Football sucks, let’s get on to Spring Training. Go M’s!
